This Defending Tutorials page is sorted in to 2 areas. The first area below is a full list of the defensive controls in FIFA 12, if a particular control has a tutorial for it, then that tutorial will be listed under the control name. You may also find links to tutorials under each control group heading, for instance, under the heading ‘Basic Controls’, there is a tutorial explaining all the basics of Defending in FIFA 12.

The second area under the first area has a full list of tutorials for Defending in FIFA 12 that are available from BlameYourAny. These are sorted in to no particular order.

 

Controls

All of these controls come in to play when you or a team-mate is in possession of the ball.

All inputs for the controls listed below assume that you are using ‘Classic Controls’ as your control-type in FIFA 12.

Tactical Controls

Before pressing any of the Inputs below, you must first bring up the Tactical Controls menu by pressing Up on the D-Pad. Inputs are the same for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. All directions below must be pressed on the D-Pad.

Offside Trap = Up
Basic Defending Tutorial

Team Press = Down

Swap Wings = Left

Centre-Backs Join Attack = Right

 

Penalty Kick Controls

Inputs are the same for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Move Goalkeeper’s Position = Left Thumbstick

Dive Goalkeeper = Right Thumbstick

Cover Whole Middle Area = Hold Right Thumbstick Up

 

Free Kick Controls

Move = Xbox 360 Button Input   /   Playstation 3 Button Input   (note)

Move Wall = LT/RT   /   L2/R2

Jump Wall = Y   /   Δ
